27th December after a wonderful Christmas and Boxing day my Sister and Brother in law treated me to a trip to Duxford. This was a double whammy for me as not only did I bathe in the glory of beautiful aeroplanes I got to be reunited with an aeroplane that I worked on in the ’70s. I was fortunate to work on the Vulcan bombers when I was in Cyprus 71 to 74 and the one at the museum was one that I worked on. Memories abound.
I apologise for not being able to name all the aeroplanes as I mislaid my notes.
Whilst i am do not like war and the glorification of it, I do believe that this museum is well worth the time to visit. It is not just about aeroplanes as you will see with a mixture of ground machines and armaments included.
