An array of moments captured though a lens

Tooloom Falls

Well on Friday the 23rd the group went on a 2hr drive south into Northern NSW to photograph the Tooloom Falls. I always tell people that the first thing you should do is check your settings, SD card and batteries and guess what, a cursory view of my setting all seemed OK. NOT to be, the settings had changed, shot in jpeg (never do its … Continue reading Tooloom Falls

Vancouver to Kamloops Rocky Mountaineer

Well a quick trip over the bay to the Astronomy museum and a trip on the funny little ferry again before getting on the Rocky Mountaineer. The train was the first of the season and a Piper started the proceedings as we boarded the luxurious train for the first leg to Kamloops. I learnt that whilst the cabins were wonderful to admire the view it … Continue reading Vancouver to Kamloops Rocky Mountaineer

Vancouver revisited

After travelling through Galapagos, Machu Picchu and Iguazu Falls in three weeks I finally arrived in Canada for my trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. I had walked numerous Klms over the time. The journey from Iguazu to Vancouver  was almost 24hrs in travel and I had sat for most of that time in airports and on the aeroplanes so waking up early I decided that a walking … Continue reading Vancouver revisited

Some beautiful memories and definitely need to spend more that the 2 days that I did here. Continue reading Iguazu (Brazil) revisited

Iguazu (Argentine) revisited

April 2016 I was fortunate to visit possibly the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, The Argentinians claim the have the best falls in the world and the only argument to that is Brazil possibly has the best views. The claim that they also have is that there are at least 275 individual waterfalls in the same falls. Here are a few along with some … Continue reading Iguazu (Argentine) revisited

Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular

Sunday was the Boonah Clydesdale show with an array of stalls, horses, pipe band and crafts from the rural community. Many times on the way back from the hospital my wife would say could we drive by the shire horses in Brisbane after her treatment. There is something noble and tranquil about the Clydesdale that defies its size. Continue reading Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular

Machu Picchu revisited

A little over a year ago I left the Galapagos islands and headed for Machu Picchu, the journey from Cusco to a town called Ollyantaytambo  On the way there I got my first view of the Andes and what a awe inspiring sight the range is. A few interesting villages on the way and some interesting taxi cabs!!! These are the only transport affordable for most of the … Continue reading Machu Picchu revisited
