Well, here I am in Whangarei, Staying with Tony for a few days before doing some touring up to Cape Reinga to do some photography.

Whangarei is about 160k north of Auckland about a 4hr drive. A quiet pleasant port with a beautiful harbour.  Whilst there isn’t a ton of things to do, Tony managed to arrange a flight in a Skybolt aerobatic plane which was exhilarating and an hour in a helicopter simulator which finally I now understand how they work. Was pleased that I didn’t crash (even though it wouldn’t matter) and enjoyed the experience of flight. If anyone ever gets the chance it is an amazing experience.
